Preferences
In the main pop-up menu of Mint Audio there are various options available for customization. More options are available through Mint Audio Preferences window, which can be accessed from the main pop-up menu or from the Mint Audio menubar (Edit menu). Below is the list of options found in the pop-up menu:
Windows: Shows the list of available Mint Audio windows. Choosing a window will either reveal it or hide it.
Skins: Shows the list of available Mint Audio skins in the Skins folder. Selecting a skin with change the appearance of Mint Audio .
Repeat Mode: Repeat one will play the currently playing song until the stop button is pressed. Repeat all will play the all the songs in the playlist continuously.
Random Mode: If this option is on, Mint Audio will play the songs in the playlist randomly.
Alarm Clock: Choose a time from this pop-up menu and Mint Audio will play a really annoying sound and start playing songs if nothing is currently playing.
Note: Mint Audio uses a background application for the alarm, therefore, it does not need to be running for the alarm to go off.
Preferences: Invokes the Preferences window with the following options:
Autohide in…: Allows you to set Playlist Window to the Autohide mode - if enabled, after a certain time interval elapses, Playlist Window will automatically close.
Float On Top: If selected, Mint Audio's playlist, servers and Equalizer windows will "float" above all other applications. You must switch to Mint Audio to use the playlist if this option is not selected.
Playlist Item Display: Changes how Mint Audio displays songs in the playlist menu and window. If anything other than File Name is selected, Mint Audio will show song title and author information stored in audio files (if available) and will add to the time it takes to load tracks when you drag them to an Mint Audio window.
Cross Fade Between Songs: If this option is set, Mint Audio will crossfade songs. The fade out occurs when 5% of the currently playing song remains.
Auto Play Audio CDs: If this option is set, Mint Audio will automatically start playing an Audio CD when it is inserted (or add all tracks from it to the Immediate Queue if there's already something playing).
Save Playlist On Quit: If this option is set, Mint Audio will save the current playlist on Quit so you don't have to re-add all tracks to it every time. This option is only available in the Registered version of Mint Audio.
Fast Collapse: If this option is set, clicking on the Mint Audio thumb will completely shrink the window, instead of showing the EV/Timer area only.
Expand and Collapse Automatically: If this option is set, Mint Audio window will automatically expand when you move the mouse over it, and collapse when you move it away.
Auto Show Infoline: If this option is set, Mint Audio will automatically pop-up the infoline area when you move the mouse over the main window; if it is off, you'll have to click on the "Infoline" button located in the Play/Pause button to show the infoline.
Show Icons in Playlist Popup: If this option is set, Mint Audio Playlist in pop-up menu will have icons next to every track and folder.
Show EchoVision in Dock : If this option is set, the miniture visual plugins will be shown in the Dock on Mac OS X. Click the Dock icon while this is selected to change presets.
Random: Toggles the Random playback on and off.
Repeat: Sets the current Repeat mode.
Visual Area: Sets the visual area mode - EchoVision or Timer view. Timer displays the current time in a current song and EchoVision (EV) displays effects that are drawn in sync with the music.
Alarm Clock: Toggles the Alarm Clock feature and lets you select the alarm time.
Play Alarm Chime: If this option is set, Mint Audio will play the alarm chime when alarm clock is fired.
Revert: This button will discard any changes in Preferences window and revert to the old settings.
